Here is the Midwest, with fall approaching, one thing that is always a hit are hayrides. Some of my fondest memories as a kid are when we used to do hayrides to go get our pumpkins directly from the fields. Of course when I was a kid, the mode of transportation was of the four legged variety pulling the cart around. Nowadays, it seems as if John Deere has taken over which still gives the hayride the pull it needs but is a whole lot noisier. Hitching one of these rides up is pretty simple and people come from all over to enjoy the crisp fall air, hot apple cider and fresh donuts along with memories that will hopefully last a lifetime. Ahhhh, the simple pleasure is life!
