In our trip to Kensington, we had the perfect weather and nature welcomed us with open arms. It is no secret that I love wildlife photography and there was no better place to photograph birds than Kensington.
It was evident that the birds, although wild, are still used to people. They come in and they get close right away. Eager to feed, chickadees and tufted titimice loved to feed from your hand.
My daughter Kathryn was a bit nervous at first, wondering how the birds feet would feel on her hand. She started off with gloves, then became brave enough to use her hand after she watched me try. The sheer delight on her face was worth the trip and capturing the moment in a click made my day. Telling the story is so important.
