Migratory Birds

Each winter, we have flocks of migratory Dark Eyed Junco’s that stop at our feeders. They are super fast, darting here and there, with white flicks of their tale feathers. Mostly staying on the ground, eating the seed that ohter birds drop from the feeders. Every now and then, I will see a species that is just passing through and that was the case with this Cape May warbler. Using camo in this instance allowed my to be relatively hidden from view stacking the favor in my odds. However, they are very astute and even the smallest movement, even with camo, spooked them. As spring ramps up here in the Midwest, I am seeing fewer and fewer of these little guys, so I was glad that I got some good shots while they were just passing through.
